Whether or not you practice yoga, you can gain new perspectives and avenues for well-being through the age-old wisdom of India’s spiritual sages. JJ Gormley’s teachers include T. K. V. Desikachar, who translated ancient philosophical templates into practical yoga therapy tools, whose effectiveness is supported by contemporary science.
In this hands-on, intensive program, you'll learn:
Templates for healing that are grounded in ancient yogic texts
How to apply these tools to your own dis-eases of body, energy, mind, and spirit
Ways to apply the templates and appropriate tools in service to others.
Experience for yourself the healing power of yoga therapy—whether you’re looking for alternative healing philosophies for your own life, or seeking fresh insights into holistic treatments for your patients and clients.
This program may be eligible for
23.5 credits for Athletic Trainers (BOC), $30 additional charge
23.5 credits for Yoga Alliance (YA), $30 additional charge
JJ teams up with Scottie Bruch to bring an extraordinary retreat that is beyond your typical yoga retreat. Themed around the Earth, as an element, as in getting back to nature, nourishing your body and as in returning to within, participants will enjoy experiential activities in the gorgeous surroundings that Blacktail offers. JJ will share some of her knowledge in Complementary and Alternative Medicine regarding herbs and nutrients from the earth and Scottie shares her wisdom of feeding the soul. Participants will experience daily yoga classes, and activities that bring us back in touch with the earth.
Scottie & JJ both have very strong yoga practices, keep a good sense of humor going, enjoy the company of students who are eager to experience all that life has to offer and learn more of this vast open field of knowledge we call yoga.
Scottie Bruch lives in the Black Hills of South Dakota with her husband and her two boys. She is on Faculty of SCHYS and is currently co-teaching a 200-hour yoga teacher training program with JJ.
